If you are in the market for new exterior shutters for your home, you may be torn between board and batten style and louvered shutters. Exterior shutters are mainly for aesthetics and not functional. They add a beautiful accent to your home.

Louvered Shutters

These are the most popular style that most homeowners and builders of new homes select. Made of either Cedar or poly, they typically come in 2 ½” louver size, which can be partially open or fixed closed.

Board and Batten Shutters

Board and batten shutters have more of a rustic look and would go well with a cottage or ranch style home.  Typically made of basswood or cedar, BnB  can be custom built to your specifications.

BnB shutters are the most traditional type, offering a classic, time-tested appearance.
